      CPI Flex Training

      CPI Flex training (online portion and face-to-face) will be from 8am-1pm with Safe Schools training online from 1pm-3pm. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Flex for Initial Training and Refreshers for Administrators, Office Staff and Coordinators Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Flex is a blended learning program, which uses both online and in-person learning experiences. The Flex training provides staff with tools to be proactive to manage and deal with escalating behaviors in a safe manner that is approved by DPI.  Flex has an online session that should take approximately 2 hour to complete before you come to the scheduled 4 hour classroom session for face to face in-person learning.  The CPI Flex is used as an initial and refresher. The training is valid for 24 months. The total professional learning hours for the course are 6 for non special education.     FLEX gives us the option to do the online portion anywhere, anytime with access to Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training.  About 2 weeks before attending the classroom session of the training, participants will receive their Learner's Guide and must complete online modules. Participants can view online sections of the training on their computer or tablet at their own pace. Online training includes basic definitions, concepts, and activities.  The Learner's Guide is provided to participants to support their online learning. This Learner’s Guide will be sent to your home school once your sign up through Eventbrite for the course. Physical interventions are taught in the classroom session only.  Participants attend the classroom portion of the training prepared to discuss and apply concepts and models.Physical interventions are practiced in the safety of a controlled classroom setting. Instructor role shifts from teaching new content to: Reviewing concepts and models. Leading discussions. Facilitating activities and exercises.
