      Build Virtual & Augmented Reality Experiences with Basic HTML Workshop

      We are excited to offer workshops as part of the ProductCon track at Fall Experiment 2019! Workshop Details Learn how to start building Virtual & Augmented Reality experiences on the web with basic HTML & JavaScript knowledge. Find out how to use web development skills to create mind-blowing, hackathon winning, multi-user games with full source so you can remix your own version. This workshop will cover the basic building blocks of working with three dimensional objects and how to work with 360 content. We will show how to leverage and learn from existing open source libraries that can add particles, physics, tracked controllers, multi-user networked experiences and more.  Basic understanding of HTML and JavaScript knowledge recommended for this session. Attendees should bring a laptop or similar device with a modern web browser and a keyboard. You will use a web-based code editor and development environment to build 3D experiences that can be viewed in:  VR headsets (Rift, Vive, Quest, Cardboard, etc)  AR headsets (Magic Leap One, Hololens 1 & 2)  Web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, iOS, Android)    IMPORTANT: You must purchase a ticket to Fall Experiment to attend this workshop. More About the Instructor Quinn Madson  Lead Engineer at 3Data  Quinn was a firefighter for the Wisconsin Air National Guard at the 128th Air Refueling Wing and for the United States Air Force in Kirkuk, Iraq. He worked at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) as an adjunct instructor for the School of Information Studies (SOIS) where he developed curricula and taught courses on programming fundamentals and mobile app development for SOIS. He co-founded a program at UWM called the App Brewery that paired student mobile app developers with local non-profits & researchers from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Since leaving UWM, he’s worked in digital advertising and for an Internet of Things (IoT) company doing satellite monitoring and control of oil wells and industrial equipment.   Currently, he works for an Austin based startup called 3Data that builds multi-user data science and presentation platforms that work collaboratively across Virtual Reality headsets, Augmented Reality glasses, phones, tablets, and web browsers.
