      An Evening With
      "THE DUKES OF SEPTEMBER"
Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald, and Boz Scaggs
      LIVE AT THE RIVERSIDE THEATER
      MONDAY AUGUST 20 7:30PM DOORS

In their own separate careers, musicians Donald Fagan, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs have achieved considerable success, selling millions of albums and headlining sold-out tours all over the world. Collectively, their influence reaches back to the 60's, combining soul, R&B, blues and classic rock and roll to form a rather impressive group the trio have recently dubbed The Dukes of September.

Classic rock audiences are likely to recognize the Dukes not just from their solo work, but as members of some of music's most influential acts. Fagan, who also serves as co-leader of Steely Dan, McDonald, who has performed with both Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, and Scaggs, who served in the Steve Miller Band before branching off into a successful solo career, originally came together in 1992 for the New York Rock and Soul Revue. The highly successful tour, produced by Fagan's wife, Libby Titus, sees the Dukes mixing their own material with favorite R&B and blues songs.

Fagan recently told Billboard "I still love playing the music from the late 50s through the 60s, soul music and R&B, and this is really a chance for me to play it," with McDonald adding "for us it's like a great escape. It's kind of a luxurious opportunity to do what we would have the most fun doing. We all have fun going out as Steely Dan or Boz or Michael McDonald...but it largely consists of our own records being reproduced live. This is more fun for us, in a way."

As the Dukes of September members boast an impressive number of Grammy awards, multi-platinum-selling albums and even a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member (Fagan) between them, there will certainly be no shortage of hits to perform from the members' back catalogues, but audiences can also expect familiar hits from other artists from different eras. The Riverside Theater was also the site of Steely Dan's sold out, two-night run this past November, while Scaggs recently impressed audiences at the Pabst Theater. Add McDonald into the fold, and there's no telling how magical theDukes of September will be live. Don't miss an evening with this truly special collective at the Riverside Theater.
