      CHAIR5: Perspectives on Form, Function and Innovation

      CHAIR5: Perspectives on Form, Function and Innovation is an exhibition on view in the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design's Brooks Stevens Gallery, October 20, 2017 – March 3, 2018. The Opening Reception is Friday, October 20, 5 – 9 p.m. for Fall Gallery Night.

      Please note that gallery hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

      This experimental furniture exhibit in MIAD's Brooks Stevens Gallery introduces visitors to myriad ways to think about chairs, "chairness", and the physical act of sitting. Spanning across time and place, the displays will include a selection of historic, reproduction, and contemporary seating furniture forms.

      This exhibition is a MIAD/Chipstone Foundation collaboration co-curated by Jon Prown, Brent Budsberg and Eric Vogel. Primary exhibit design is by Brent Budsberg.
